About the Product

Rossie is a dynamic multi-filter pedal, encompassing 3 essential tone-enriching filter effects:

  • Envelope Filter - a colorful resonant filter that follows your picking dynamics

  • Step Filter - a groovy, arpeggiated filter with fully adjustable steps.

  • Manual Filter - great for static tone shaping or sweepable wah-like effect using an expression pedal.

Each filter mode offers 4 filter types: lowpass, bandpass, highpass, and peaking. Sweep range and resonance width are also adjustable. And on top of all of these, a dedicated Mix knob allows blending of wet and dry signal, this gives you total control of how much filtering effects is imparted on your guitar or bass signal.

GFI System: ROSSIE Filter - WAH (Manual) Filter demo

Global: https://www.gfisystem.com/rossie Australia: https://www.deluxeguitars.com.au/products/gfi-system-rossie GFI System's ROSSIE Filter features three types of filter - envelope, manual and step. Each type has six parameters you can tailor it with. Expression pedal and external tap tempo facilities are onboard as well as two recallable presets. The Rossie Filter is easy to use, sounds great and is a lot of fun. So if you want to get funky, get Rossie. This is my Manual as Wah Filter demo; basically an expression pedal controlled manual filter to sweep the frequency and create the wah effect. This video is sans chat to get the message across quickly and (hopefully) musically. Demos of the other Rossie filter types appear on this channel also. GFI System Rossie Filter

https://www.gfisystem.com/ On Reverb: https://tinyurl.com/GFIRossie Next up in GFI Systems compact pedal lineup is the Rossie Filter. 3 different modes cover everything from funky envelope filter to synthy steps and manual eq or wah effects when using an expression pedal. All the essential controls are laid out for you along with a helpful visual from the screen. Like other GFI pedals, secondary functions are accessed by pushing and turning the knobs. Powerful controls give you the power to match the input sensitivity to your guitar or bass and tweak the quack with 4 filters: LP, BP, HP, and LP+HP. The Range also helps embellish the attack of the envelope or puts some extra emphasis on that arpeggiated step filter. Plus, it’s secondary parameter of Q width provides subtle vocal-like filters all the way to laser-like filter sweeps. The dry mix takes Rossie to a whole new level, giving your instrument back its full frequency range or allowing cocked wah or a rhythmic step filter to sit back in the mix for extra texture. GFI System also provides tap tempo with subdivisions and the same switch can toggle between your 2 favorite presets on the fly. Plus, you can control any of the 3 main parameters with an expression pedal or ramp them using the onboard footswitch for a multitude of frequency shaping tasks. MAS Distro: GFI System - Rossie//Filter Engine

Ben Wright creates a unique in context composition featuring Rossie, the new powerful compact multi filter engine from GFI System. "A massive synth bass line drenched in the harmonically dense Shimmer of the Skylar reverb opens to reveal a driving rhythm created by the Rossie's Step Filter. Tape Echo from the Orca Delay brings warmth and syncopation to the Elektron Model:Cycles drum beat, which is then further effected in real time using the Rossie's Manual Filter mode. The melody, played on the Model:Cycles, is also shifted using the Rossie's Manual Mode, and set in space by the Tremble Tremolo/Reverb preset on the Skylar Reverb. Part two opens with an ascending chord progression on the 335, filtered using the Manual Mode on the Rossie with delay from the Orca's Tape Echo setting. Synth melody is given a prominent vocal quality using the Rossie's Envelope Mode, which reacts to the input signal strength, adjusted in real time on the Korg Minilogue. Synth noise bubbles in the background close part two as they are filtered by the Rossie's Manual Mode with expression pedal mapped to the frequency knob on the Rossie.  Percussive patterns of the Step Filter mode on the Rossie open part three as lead guitar is fed through the Rossie's Envelope setting embellished further by the sweet repeats of Orca's Tape mode with overdrive and additional saturation achieved using the Benson Preamp pedal.  Sparse passages on the guitar in part four are accompanied again by the beautiful Shimmer preset on the Skylar reverb, surrounding the melody with lush, almost orchestral harmony as looped and reversed guitar passages are fed through the Rossie's envelope mode. Korg minilogue bass closes the piece as it is gently filtered using the Rossie's manual mode."(Ben Wright) Gear used: GFI System Rossie Filter, Orca Delay, Skylar Reverb Benson Preamp Milkman Amp 100  Gibson 335 Fender Telecaster  Fender Precision Bass  Korg Minilogue  Elektron Model:Cycles  #MASDistro #GFISystem #RossieFilter
